Helvetica Light Graphic Edition
The Light Graphic Edition is an extension to Mondaine’s hugely popular Helvetica watch collection, based on the iconic typeface of the same name.
The face is divided into two unequal sections, with the lower portion in white and the upper in a soft grey tone. Contrasting-coloured markers, numerals and text are all set in Helvetica.
The lugs on the side of the brushed-steel case is also modelled on the crossbar of the numeral 1 from the typeface, and the leather strap matches the grey used on the face.
The watch comes in a folder-style gift box, with a selection of postcards featuring examples of Helvetica type in use.
Designed in 1957 by Max Miedinger and Eduard Hoffmann, the typeface is one of the most popular among designers. Versions have been used in New York’s subway signage and throughout Apple’s iOS operating system.
|Case material||Brushed stainless steel|
