What are these terms?
These terms are the basis on which Dezeen Stores Limited, of 8 Orsman Road, London, N1 5QJ sells watches to you via www.dezeenwatchstore.com and by buying watches on this site you agree to them. No other terms apply.
The gift voucher has no cash value and is only good for a single transaction. Any remaining amount is not exchangeable for cash or another voucher and will be automatically forfeited. Any additional cost exceeding the value of this voucher will be paid by the redeemer. The gift voucher will be considered null and void without a valid number and expiry date, or if it appears to have been tampered with in any way. The voucher cannot be used after the expiry date, at which point its value becomes zero. The gift voucher will not be replaced when lost, damaged or stolen. The voucher is valid online at www.dezeenwatchstore.com. It is not valid at any pop-up stores. The gift voucher is non-refundable. In the event of any dispute, the decision by Dezeen Watch Store is final. Dezeen Watch Store reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior notice.
Watches sold by us are as described on the site and are re-sold products (products are purchased directly from the manufacturers and resold to customers). We make every effort to describe the watches clearly and accurately on the site. However, we won’t be liable for any mistaken descriptions or variations from the watches delivered. Specific features and specifications of the watches may vary.
We don’t give warranties for the watches sold by us (warranties may be given by the manufacturers). We are also not responsible for the suitability of the watches for any particular purpose. The watches are sold on an “as is” basis.
Please note that batteries supplied with watches are installed at the factory to check the watch is working and, due to time spent in warehousing and shipping, may be partially run down by the time of sale. Batteries are therefore not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
If your watch stops working you should in the first instance take it to a specialist watch shop or repairer to have a new battery fitted. Neither Dezeen Watch Store nor the manufacturer can be held liable for the cost of replacing the battery.
Order(s) for watches must be made through the order pages on the site. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your order(s) and we can’t be responsible for any incomplete or inaccurate information in your order(s).
Cleared payment must be received by us before your order(s) will be accepted. Once payment clears we will confirm acceptance of your order(s) and provide a receipted invoice for your payment by sending you an email. We reserve the right to reject any order for any reason before payment. All correspondence relating to orders and payment will be by email, so you must ensure you provide a correct and active email address.
Prices and payment
Our prices for watches are subject to change and any such change will be notified by amending the relevant prices displayed on the site. Any increase in the prices for watches will only apply to an order placed after the posted increase.
The prices payable for watches on the site are exclusive of taxes and delivery charges unless otherwise specified. Taxes and delivery charges will be added to each order before payment. If we make an error in the presentation of the prices on the site we will tell you as soon as possible and you may either cancel or reconfirm your order. Information on the method of calculation of delivery charges and geographical areas to which we don’t deliver are on the site.
If you are shipping your order to an address within the EU, the prices displayed on our website will include 20% value added tax, which is applicable for customers in the UK and the European Union. If you live outside the UK or the EU and have set your shipping destination accordingly, the prices you see on the website will be shown without VAT.
The prices payable for watches on the site are exclusive of all local customs charges, duties or taxes payable for import of the watches into the territory to which the watches are to be delivered, and all such local customs charges, duties or taxes will be payable by you and your sole responsibility to meet. Notwithstanding the remaining provisions of these terms, in the event of return of watches to us as a result of failure or refusal by you to pay any such local customs charges, duties or taxes, the full cost of return delivery of the watches to us will be deducted and retained from any refund paid to you.
Payment must be made online via the payment methods noted on the site. Payments from credit/debit cards outside of the UK will be charged in pound sterling at the applicable exchange rate on the day your card issuer process the transaction. Any associated fees or surcharges by the card issuer are outside of our control and for which we are not liable.
We will deliver watches ordered by you to the address you give us at the time you make your order. We will dispatch orders to you by UPS or Federal Express unless otherwise indicated. Most orders for watches will be dispatched within seven days from our acceptance of your order, subject to payment and stock availability. UPS will deliver your order within one working day (UK). Federal Express will deliver your order up to three working days (EU, USA and Canada) and up to five working days (rest of the world). However, timescales or dates indicated for delivery are for guidance only and time for delivery will not be of the essence.
We are reliant on our stock and supply chain (third party suppliers of the watches) in fulfilling orders. If an order is placed by you which we cannot immediately fulfill, we’ll let you know and delivery may be delayed in the meantime.
Ownership of the watches you order will pass to you when they are delivered, after which the watches will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction. Contact us if your order is not received within a reasonable time and we will try and ensure you receive your order as quickly as possible.
Returns, refunds and cancellation policy
We accept returns of watches sold to you if you make a mistake or if the watches arrive damaged or defective, as long as you send us an email at email@example.com within 7 days of receipt of the watches, quoting “Returns Request” in the subject heading, and giving us your name, contact details, order number, reasons for return and whether you request replacement or refund. You must then return the watches by post to us within 28 days.
On receipt of your return request and the returned watches in the post we will either replace the watches or fully refund the price (as per your request) within approximately 30 days receipt of the return. The returner is responsible for any shipping charges incurred returning the watch. Where returned watches are unsealed, worn or not in reasonable re-saleable condition or, if return is due to damage or defectiveness caused by you, we will not be able to provide any replacement or refund. This includes any wear or creases on watch straps, particularly leather ones. If you would like to ‘try on’ your new watch we would advise that you simply loop the watch rather than fasten the buckle. This will prevent any damage to the strap. They must be returned in perfect condition otherwise we will not be able to issue a refund or exchange.
We can cancel any contract for sale of watches if we have insufficient stock to deliver the watches ordered or one or more of the watches you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to an error on the site. If we do cancel a contract for sale of watches we will email to let you know and we will refund the price and reasonable delivery costs within approximately 30 days of your order. No additional damage or compensation will be paid.
As a consumer under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you may cancel any order placed on the site for any reason within 7 working days from the date of the order for a full refund. To do so send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org within 7 working days of your order, quoting “Cancellation” in the subject heading, and including your email your name, contact details, order number, and stating that you wish to cancel your order. Cancellations received after this statutory cancellation period won’t be valid. You must then return the watches by post to us within 28 days.
For the avoidance of doubt, in circumstances of cancellation under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 or returns under our returns policy above, you are under a duty to return the relevant watch(es) to us at your own cost by courier to preserve the condition in which they were received within 28 days of the cancellation or returns request as the case may be. In the event of your failure to return the relevant watch(es) within that period, subject to them being preserved in the same condition as they were received, refund only (and not replacement) will be given within approximately 30 days from the date the relevant watch(es) return to our possession and the direct costs of delivery or costs of collection of the watch(es) by us (if necessary) will be deducted from any sum to be refunded to you, and in the event that returns are delivered by such method that does not preserve the relevant watch(es) in the condition in which they were received, we regret that no refund or replacement will be provided to you.
Intellectual property rights
All intellectual property rights in the site and the content displayed on the site are owned by, or licensed to, us and unless otherwise specified, may not be used, copied or altered without our written consent. For the avoidance of doubt, this extends to the design, look and feel of the site and all photographs on the site. DEZEEN and any logos we use are our trade marks and may not be used by you without our express permission.
Intellectual property rights in the watches are the property of the manufacturer. You will not own any intellectual property rights in the watches by buying them. The watches are sold for non-commercial use as a consumer only.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms and conditions will limit your statutory rights as a consumer or our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or death or personal injury resulting from our negligence. Subject to this, our total liability to you under these terms will not exceed the price actually paid by you to us for the relevant watches giving rise to the alleged claim, including where that liability arises out of our negligence.
We will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss or damage resulting from the sale of the watches to you, including without limitation: loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of profits, loss or corruption of data, damages from claims that the watches infringe the intellectual property rights of others, and we will not be liable to you for any acts, omissions or failures of organisations used by us in delivering the watches to you.
We may terminate a contract for sale of watches to you under these terms at any time for any reason by email notice in to you in the event of any breach by you of these terms.
On termination, your outstanding order(s) will be immediately cancelled. The price paid to us for the relevant order(s) will be refunded on termination, unless the relevant watches in question have already been despatched to you prior to termination in which case the relevant price will not be refunded.
Restrictions of the internet
We have no control over the Internet. The site and the order processing system and secure online e-commerce payment system on the site will not be error free or uninterrupted. We will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage which results or may result from your access to or use of the Internet or the site.
Data protection and privacy

If you need to contact us you can do so via the various methods and contact details provided on the site. We believe good communication is important and will make every effort to deal with any queries you may have when you contact us, or if we can’t there and then to get back to you as soon as possible with a clear response.
Any legal notice to be given under these terms and conditions must be in writing, which may be by email, and will be deemed received 48 hours after posting by first class mail, or on the day of transmission if sent by email.
We are not liable for failure or delay in meeting our obligations under these terms if caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control including delays affecting delivery routes or inability or delay in obtaining supplies.
A person who is not a party to this agreement has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any of these terms.
We reserve the right to amend or update the site and these terms from time to time without notice and it is your responsibility to look through the terms regularly to determine any changes.
These terms and the contract for sale of watches between us will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law and the English courts will have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between us.Return to top
