AÃRK watches combine traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing techniques so each timepiece is designed to last and made with care. Each watch houses a Swiss or Japanese movement for accurate timekeeping, and fastens with a premium leather strap. Four Melbourne creatives launched AÃRK in 2014, working outside of their nine-to-five jobs with the aim of designing contemporary, minimalist timepieces for like-minded individuals. The first AÃRK watch collection, designed to be worn by both men and women, included classic timepieces that are modern, graphic and distinct. Since then, AÃRK has twisted convention to launch an abstract range influenced by time and space. The brand has collaborated with industrial design studio Daniel Emma on two collections, which experiment with colour and materials such as marble. “We like to keep it simple and geometric, which is the underlying aesthetic of the brand," co-founder Auver Austria told Dezeen Watch Store. "When designing, I normally take into account the elements of a timepiece and see how these elements can be represented in either an abstract way or a more contemporary manner." AÃRK is known for its fun, contemporary take on modern watch design and has proved popular with Dezeen readers.
