The augmented reality watch store, first debuted at Selfridges’ Festival of Imagination earlier this year, will allow customers to virtually “try on” and share images of our most popular watch brands including ODM, NAVA, Ziiiro, VOID and Bulbul.
We’ve created a bespoke Hackney House Austin wristband, in collaboration with London-based technology brand Inition, which enables camera software to track wrist movement and allows customers to view their chosen watch on a screen in real time.
Users can then switch between various watch models, colours and finishes, before uploading screenshots of themselves to Dezeen Watch Store where customers can share their images on Facebook or Twitter.
As well as our augmented reality watch store, Dezeen editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs will be exploring how the lines between the physical and digital are becoming less distinguishable in a talk on ‘A New Hybrid Reality‘ on Monday 10 March at 1pm.
