The iconic Station clock was designed by Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen for electrical goods manufacturer Lauritz Knudsen in 1939. This watch version from Rosendahl Watches is a scaled-down replica of the original design, re-created according to Jacobsen’s design principles.
The modern, minimalist face includes clear and easy-to-read numbers and a circular motif that echoes the shape of the dial. The watch movement is located to the reverse; the specially designed setting fixes the strap to the watch. The time is adjusted by applying pressure to the centre of the rear case with a pointed object.
The 46mm stainless steel case is topped with hardened mineral glass. The Station is available with a light brown leather strap and is best suited as a men’s watch.
Arne Jacobsen was one of the most influential Danish architects and designers of the twentieth century. His building and product designs – including the Egg and Swan chair – combine modernist ideals with a Nordic appreciation for naturalism.
